Activation & Setup
Learn how to set up your SIM card, eSIM, and activating your travel data.
When should I activate my Zero1 2GO Travel Data SIM plan?
For eSIMs:
- Download the eSIM via your data setting once at your destination. Download requires internet access, so ensure you are connected to Wi-Fi before you begin the process.
- The eSIM will automatically activate by connecting to your destination’s mobile network. Please check your plan’s page on 2go.zero1.sg for which network(s) to connect to.
For Physical SIMs:
- Once you arrive at your destination, install the physical SIM – this can be in sim slot 1 for phones that only support one sim or in sim slot 2 if the device supports more than 1 sim slot
- Activate the new SIM by connecting to the network to get the most out of your plan and avoid losing any days of connection.

Yes, eSIMs work as dual SIM. That means you can continue using your regular SIM card while using your Zero1 2GO Travel Data eSIM.
Important:
Just because your phone has dual SIM technology doesn’t necessarily mean it’s eSIM compatible. Also note that you may incur roaming charges for voice calls or SMS.
Please check that your phone model appears in our eSIM-compatible device list.
Some phones may allow you to do so but most phones will only allow you to have one eSIM active at any one time.
Yes. Set your device to use your SIM card for phone calls and text messages, and your Zero1 2GO Travel eSIM for data.
Please remember that if you leave your main SIM card activated, your network provider may apply data roaming charges to make or receive phone calls, and to send or receive text messages. So, make sure the settings are correctly applied.
The number of days in the plan will start counting down when you activate your SIM by connecting to the network of your chosen destination, not when you install it.
Whether you are using a physical SIM or an eSIM, your data plan only begins the moment you activate it on your phone by connecting to the network of your chosen destination.
Scanning the QR code and downloading/installing your eSIM, or installing the physical SIM, does not start the service.
However, once you activate it, and the SIM attaches to the network, the number of days in your plan will start counting down.
